SUMMARY:PAN-AMERICA ADV CAMPOUT
DESCRIPTION:About \nThis class is an introduction to adventure bike riding. If you have a new to you adventure bike\, this is for you. If you have an adventure bike or dual sport motorcycle and zero experience on loose terrain\, consider attending. If it’s been a season since you’ve last ridden off pavement\, this is a great way to get back in the saddle. We’ll focus on basic control skills in the dirt: stopping\, turning and hill maneuvers + small obstacle crossing\, body position and maximizing brake usage. Classes take about 7 hrs. You’ll leave with better skills for traversing hills\, setting up your line around obstacles and adjusting the direction of your motorcycle and traction management. If you’ve got some experience and want to work on these skills in a more dynamic and trail-like environment\, please consider our L2 course. \nA great adventure begins with basic skill building and knowing your limits. A well serviced ADV or dual sport bike is required along with a motorcycle license and proof of insurance. Crash protection for your bike is encouraged and appropriate riding attire is mandatory. Yes\, a valid motorcycle license is required. \nClasses are held at 2 locations in 2023. Rob’s Performance in Johnson Creek\, AND. S82 W27570\, Johnson Ave\, Mukwonago\, WI 53149 \nWhat to Bring \nWe encourage you to have elbow\, knee and shin protection in addition to regular street gear (boots\, pants\, long sleeves\, gloves\, full face helmet\, MX style and goggles if fine). Dress for the weather and bring whatever you’re willing to crash in. Tipovers happen. The ground doesn’t always hurt but your bike falling on you might. \nTire Recommendations \nFor the L1 class 90/10 On/off road will certainly limit what you can expect to get out of the class but many students have completed class with stock tires on their Triumph\, Harley\, BMW or Ducati. If you’re wanting to be in our L2 class 50/50 is highly recommended\, and for above our L3+ classes 50/50 is an absolute MUST. \nLink for signing up – HERE
