SUMMARY:ADV CAMPOUT - LEVEL 1\, 2\, 3
DESCRIPTION:Level 1\nFriday\, September 20\, 2024 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM\nSaturday\, September 21\, 2024 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM\nAbout \nThis class is an introduction to adventure bike riding. If you have a new to you adventure bike\, this is for you. If you have an adventure bike or dual sport motorcycle and zero experience on loose terrain\, consider attending. If it’s been a season since you’ve last ridden off pavement\, this is a great way to get back in the saddle. We’ll focus on basic control skills in the dirt: stopping\, turning and hill maneuvers + small obstacle crossing\, body position and maximizing brake usage. Classes take about 7 hrs. You’ll leave with better skills for traversing hills\, setting up your line around obstacles and adjusting the direction of your motorcycle and traction management. If you’ve got some experience and want to work on these skills in a more dynamic and trail-like environment\, please consider our L2 course. \nA great adventure begins with basic skill building and knowing your limits. A well serviced ADV or dual sport bike is required along with a motorcycle license and proof of insurance. Crash protection for your bike is encouraged and appropriate riding attire is mandatory. Yes\, a valid motorcycle license is required. \nClasses are held at 2 locations in 2023. Rob’s Performance in Johnson Creek\, AND. S82 W27570\, Johnson Ave\, Mukwonago\, WI 53149 \nWhat to Bring \nWe encourage you to have elbow\, knee and shin protection in addition to regular street gear (boots\, pants\, long sleeves\, gloves\, full face helmet\, MX style and goggles if fine). Dress for the weather and bring whatever you’re willing to crash in. Tip overs happen. The ground doesn’t always hurt but your bike falling on you might. \nTire Recommendations \nFor the L1 class 90/10 On/off road will certainly limit what you can expect to get out of the class but many students have completed class with stock tires on their Triumph\, Harley\, BMW or Ducati. If you’re wanting to be in our L2 class 50/50 is highly recommended\, and for above our L3+ classes 50/50 is an absolute MUST. \nLink for signing up – HERE \n\nLevel 2\nFriday\, September 20\, 2024 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM\nSaturday\, September 21\, 2024 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM\nAbout \nThis is our Level 2 class\, it’s a full day. It is highly recommended that you take our L1 class first. It is assumed that you have the basics of body position and maneuvering off road is something you’ve had experience with on your motorcycle. If you have an adventure or dual sport motorcycle and want to ride some scenarios where you’d need to hone in your skills and pick up some new ones\, this is for you. We’ll start out with some assessment activities to see where your skillset is. Classes take 6.5+ hrs. You’ll leave with better skills for riding trails\, tight corners\, off camber\, ruts and small obstacles. You’ll be using your best body posture to position yourself to maneuver your bike through our trail system and come away a safer rider. We’ll cover some trail etiquette along the way. \nA great adventure begins with basic skill building and knowing your limits. A well serviced adventure or dual sport bike is required along with a motorcycle license and proof of insurance. Crash protection for your bike is encouraged and appropriate riding attire is mandatory. Yes\, a valid motorcycle license is required. 50/50 tires are highly recommended. \nClasses are held at S82 W27570\, Johnson Ave\, Mukwonago\, WI 53149 \nWhat to Bring \nYour Motorcycle\, Riding Gear\, Snacks\, Hydration \nMake sure you’ve got a minimum of 20% off-road tires in good to great condition. Dress for the weather and bring whatever you’re willing to crash in. Tip overs happen. SUMMARY:TRANS WISCONSIN ADVENTURE TRAIL (TWAT) RUN
DESCRIPTION:Travel Dates – 06/24/24 – 06/27/24 \n \nThe idea around this ride is to offer anyone from an experienced rider to a beginner to come along on a No Reservations ride.   Just like I would do for a Back Country Discovery Route ride (BDR).    We will all start at the beginning Monday morning (South West corner of WI)\,  Ride as a group north along the route.   Deal with challenges together and ride at a safe pace.   We might not make it the entire way\, but that happens.  I’m not going to push to make deadlines with preset timelines.  If riders are struggling we will offer optional routes with Coaches to help get around challenging sections.    You are free to leave anytime you wish.   If you decide to run out a head\, faster than the group\, I consider that as you are on your own and that is OK. \nWe are not charging for this ride\, your support by taking our classes is appreciated..  Completion of Level 2 course is a prerequisite for this event. \nWHY LEVEL 2?   We want you to be comfortable and confident on your moto. \nYou will need a Wisconsin Trails Pass – https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/OHM \nExpect 8+ hours of seat/travel time per day. \nElevation on this ride is from about 400 – 1500 ft. \nParticipants allowed – 8 invited riders\, 4-6 Rider Coaches \nIn order to be accepted – You and your bike needs to be in proper physical and mechanical condition.  Like it should be to leave for a 1\,200 mile ride.  We can help evaluate this at one of our classes and offer suggestions. \n– Chains\, sprockets\, brake pads\, wheel bearings\, tires (50/50) with good tread depth. \nSAVE! – If you sign up for any of our classes\,  CJ Designs will give you a 10% discount on any available MotoZ tires and installation for your motorcycle. \n– Oil changed and fluids in good condition and no leaks. \n– Suspension in good shape and not leaking. \n– General safety check over – All lights working\, nuts and bolts tight. \nTerrain we will or might ride through –  Pavement\, gravel roads\, sanding roads/trail\, Dirt trail\, mud\, wet trail and road conditions\, water crossings. \n– Mileage – could be 200- 400 miles per day. (all depends on conditions and groups pace) \nLuggage needed –  PACK LIGHT.   We will plan for hotels along the way.  (If you want to camp and bring a tent.  All camp ground logistics are on you\,  I hope to offer a Camping Trip ride of this in the future.)     I will have another 3 day ride in Aug\, that will be a WI camping moto trip. – email for details. \n– Your riding gear\, waterproof gear or coverings are a must. (We ride rain or shine)  Helmet\, gloves\, boots. \n– Change of clothes in the hotel\, light shoes or sandals. \n– Tool kit that comes with the bike.   What does your bike need to patch a flat tire or change a tube? \n– Small personal needs bag. \n– Hydration back pack\, snacks \n–  GPS navigation will be helpful.     A GPS/GPX track is available to download.   This is a good time to practice using your GPS. \n– Fuel range – Most sections have fuel every 100 -140 miles – Most ADV bikes can do this no problem.  No need to pack extra fuel on the bike. \nWe will be able to get water and snacks as needed at gas stops. \n  \nMore details will be sent to riders on the list as needed and as the ride gets closer. \nIf you have any questions or are interested in joining us\, please email me at orders@cjdesignsllc.com. \n  \nmore route info is available at this link \nhttps://lonewolfexpeditions.blogspot.com/p/trans-wisconsin-adventure-trail.html

SUMMARY:ADV CAMPOUT LEVEL 1\, 2
DESCRIPTION:Make it a weekend of training.\nArrive Friday night and camp over.  Take Level 1 on Saturday\, stay the evening and take Level 2 on Sunday.\nLevel 1\nSaturday\, April 20\, 2024 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM\nAbout \nThis class is an introduction to adventure bike riding. If you have a new to you adventure bike\, this is for you. If you have an adventure bike or dual sport motorcycle and zero experience on loose terrain\, consider attending. If it’s been a season since you’ve last ridden off pavement\, this is a great way to get back in the saddle. We’ll focus on basic control skills in the dirt: stopping\, turning and hill maneuvers + small obstacle crossing\, body position and maximizing brake and throttle control usage. \nClasses take about 7 hrs. \nYou’ll leave with better skills for traversing hills\, setting up your line around obstacles and adjusting the direction of your motorcycle and traction management via skidding and throttle induced slides. \nIf you’ve got some experience and want to work on these skills in a more dynamic and trail-like environment\, please consider our L2 course\, but L2 Builds on Level 1 Skills.  We want to make sure you have a good foundation. \nClasses are held at  S82 W27570\, Johnson Ave\, Mukwonago\, WI 53149 \nWhat to Bring \nWe encourage you to have elbow\, knee and shin protection in addition to regular street gear (boots\, pants\, long sleeves\, gloves\, full face helmet\, MX style and goggles if fine). \nLink for signing up – HERE \n\nLevel 2\nSaturday\, April 20\, 2024 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM\nSunday\, April 21\, 2024 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM\nAbout \nThis is our Level 2 class\, it’s a full day. \nClasses are held at S82 W27570\, Johnson Ave\, Mukwonago\, WI 53149 \nWhat to Bring \nYour Motorcycle\, Riding Gear\, Snacks\, Hydration \nMake sure you’ve got a minimum of 20% off road tires in good to great condition. You’re going to want traction for this class. 50/50 tires would be a great choice. \nWe’ve got air and gauges to help you check and adjust tire pressures. \nWe encourage you to have elbow\, knee and shin protection in addition to off road boots\, pants\, jacket and gloves. Dress for the weather and bring whatever you’re willing to crash in. Tip overs happen. The ground doesn’t always hurt but your bike falling on you might. \nSuggestion is to remove any luggage during class\, however some people might want to have the experience with a loaded motorcycle toward the end of class. \nLink for signing up – HERE \n\nCamping at Mukwonago \nCamping the night before is available to registered attendees for all Levels. We’ve got room for your tent\, or it’s OK to roll up and sleep in your van. We’ll have a tick box on registration just so we know if we should expect you the night before. If weather permits we might have a campfire and or try to put on a small clinic for attendees. Like tire changes\, packing and gear selection\, or suspension sag setups. This only happens at the Mukwonago classes. \nAny questions please email me: orders@cjdesignsllc.com
